  • Yes! All sessions are held virtually via Practice Better, a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform.

  • Starting May 15th, I will be in-network with the following insurance companies:

    • Asuris Northwest Health

    • Regence BlueShield of Washington

    • Healthcare Management Administrators

For all other networks I am considered an “out of network” provider. You may request a superbill which you can submit to insurance for reimbursement purposes. It’s important to note that a superbill does not guarantee payment for services.

Use this list of questions to verify your insurance benefits before our first session!

For self-pay options, I accept HSA/FSA and all major credit/debit cards.

  • I do! I offer a sliding scale fee option for clients who are lower income and/or hold a marginalized identity. Please reach out to me so we can create a plan that works for you, no documentation or application necessary.

  • Cancellations made up to 24 hours before a scheduled appointment will be processed without a charge.

Cancellations made 24 hours or less before an appointment will be subject to a $50 fee. That being said, I understand there are sometimes unavoidable situations that come up and I’m happy to work with you on a case-by-case basis.

  • Due to licensure requirements, I’m limited to working with folks who reside in a state that I’m licensed in and/or states that don’t require licensure. At this time, I can provide nutrition counseling to clients in the following states:

    • Washington State

    • California

    • Colorado

    • Texas

    • Virginia

    • Arizona

There are plans to expand to other states in the future so reach out if you don’t see your state listed!

  • Yay! I’m so excited to work with you! Here is an overview of the process for onboarding:

    1. (If not already completed) Schedule a Discovery Call through the “Work With Me” link at the top of the website. This gives us a chance to chat and make sure we’re a perfect fit!

    2. If you’re ready to move forward, either let me know during our Discovery call or send me an email/text/phone call.

    3. I’ll set up your profile in Practice Better, the HIPAA-compliant platform we’ll use for our telehealth sessions, messaging, billing, etc. You’ll receive an email with instructions to create an account and log in.

    4. Once you have an account in Practice Better, you’ll be able to schedule your first session, purchase individual sessions or packages, and message me with any questions.

    5. All new clients will be emailed intake forms to fill out before our first session. These will be available in your Practice Better account.

And then give yourself a hug or a pat on the back because you’ve already made such a huge step by starting this journey! Know that I’m here every single step of the way if any questions or concerns come up.

  • Dietitians are required to complete a 4-year bachelor’s degree, a year-long dietetic internship with 1200 hours of supervised practice, and pass a national exam. States (including Washington State) typically require additional licensure to practice. Dietitians are additionally required to complete a minimum number of continuing education hours to maintain their status.

Nutritionists, on the other hand, have no mandated requirements. This means anyone could call themselves a nutritionist and there is no regulating body to enforce their qualifications. They may have had some nutrition education, but this varies from person to person and is often less extensive than that required for a dietitian.

Bottom line: Do your research when working with a nutrition professional to ensure they have the qualifications to address your concerns!

  • I completed two associate degrees from Johnson & Wales University. One in Baking & Pastry and a second in Culinary Arts. I received my bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from Colorado State University and completed my dietetic internship at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Illinois. I additionally have a master’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from University of Kansas Medical Center.

I passed my National Registration Exam for dietetics and have maintained my status as a registered dietitian through continuing education.

Since becoming a dietitian, I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient adult and pediatric care. My background includes experience working with patients of all ages, from premature infants to older adults. I also have experience working with a wide variety of health conditions:

    • diabetes nutrition (both type 1 and type 2)

    • nutrition throughout cancer treatment

    • heart healthy nutrition and nutrition for cardiovascular disease

    • nutrition for gastrointestinal disorders

    • pre/post nutrition for surgery

    • nutrition for kidney disease
